If you’re unsure of the correct Award coverage for your company or your employees, we encourage you to visit the Fair Work Commission Awards finder page or contact the Fair Work Ombudsman to discuss this further. Getting this right is very important and sets the foundation for paying your employees correctly. You should also seek any independent legal advice as appropriate for your business.

Currently have no Awards enabled
Note: This excludes customers who have already enabled an Award and simply want to add a new Award (as an addition) to their current setup.

Review and audit current setup
What custom items have been created?
For Xero Integration customers, have you mapped salary codes from Planday to Xero?
Determine when the next pay run will commence and ensure the current pay run has been completed
Lock the payroll period - learn more about how to lock payroll periods
Once the payroll period is locked, disconnect Xero from the Planday Xero integration configuration page
In Planday, delete only the payroll supplements not linked to the new Award you wish to enable
Remove salary codes from shift types that will no longer be used
