Retirement of our Planday product in Australia

We wanted to let you know that Xero has made the difficult decision to retire the Planday product in Australia on 30 September 2024. We understand this news may come as a disappointment, and we want you to know we appreciate the support you've shown us.

In light of this decision, Xero conducted a review of other providers and determined we can better serve our Australian customers by partnering more closely with workforce management solution Deputy.

New partnership with Deputy

That’s why today, Xero has also announced a new strategic partnership with Deputy. This partnership means Deputy is now Xero’s preferred partner for timesheets, attendance and scheduling. Deputy’s intuitive platform, robust awards engine and seamless integration with Xero means we are confident this partnership will enable Xero to provide Australian customers with a leading time, attendance and scheduling product.

Deputy is also providing Planday customers with an exclusive offer

  • Sign up before 31 May 2024 and receive 30% off the first five months of your subscription

  • Sign up before 30 September and receive 30% off two months of your subscription

In the future, Xero will deeply embed Deputy’s workforce management capability into the Xero platform, bringing workforce management together with Xero's payroll and accounting in one place for Xero’s Australian customers.

Support for the transition

We know how critical your time, attendance and scheduling needs are, so we wanted to give you plenty of notice prior to 30 September 2024 so you can find an alternative solution that meets your needs. We encourage you to consider transitioning to Xero’s preferred partner Deputy, or there are a number of other options available in the Xero App Store.

For those interested in hearing more about Deputy’s product, they will be running a dedicated webinar for any Planday customers, including details about the onboarding process.
